About School
Nelson’s Higher Secondary School, Maninagaris a co-educational English Medium School comprising Std. VIII-XII. It prepares students for the S.S.C. and H.S.C. Examination.
The School considers it it’s duty to respect the religious feelings and freedom of conscience of all, irrespective of caste and creed. The School is recognized by the Department of Education, Gujarat State .
The School aims not merely at success in examinations, but also in training its students as future leaders by developing their character and personality through graded responsibility, personal guidance and social awareness. With this end in view, a careful selection of pupils is made and a high standard of conduct and work is demanded.
The academic year begins in June and consists of two terms, the First term from June to October and the Second term from November to May. The course of studies is arranged according to the syllabus laid down by the Department of Education, Gujarat State .
Outdoor games, drill and sports are compulsory. Students are physically examined annually by the School Doctor.
Reports on conduct, application and progress are issued at the end of each series of tests and the two examinations, so that parents and guardians are informed about the progress of their children and wards.
Whereas the School Authorities will take maximum care of students while at school or during any organized outing or games, the School will not accept liability for any injury or bodily harm suffered by any student. Claims for compensation will not be entertained.
Admission Details
No student, less than 5 years of age, will be admitted to class I (First)
No student will be admitted without a Transfer Certificate from the last school attended and in no case shall a student be permitted to attend class pending formal admission.
The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason.
A candidate who has not attended any recognized school has to produce an official birth certificate in support of the date of birth entered in the admission form.
A candidate who has not attended any recognized school cannot be admitted without a Leaving Certificate from the school last attended. In the case of candidates coming from schools outside Gujarat State , the certificate must be counter signed by the Education Officer of the State from which he/she comes.
Pupils applying for admission are, as a rule, subject to an admission test. In the case of late admission the fees from the beginning of the first term shall be charged unless the fee for the period before admission has been paid to some other school.
