About School
Mount Carmel High School, Ahmedabad was established in the year 1923 for the education of the girls. It is a Minority Catholic Institution. It is managed by the Sisters of Apostolic Carmel, a congregation of Catholic Nuns, which has its headquarters at Bengaluru.
This school is recognized by the department of education, Gujarat State and caters exclusively to girls from standard V – X with parallel divisions having gujarati and english as the media of instruction. The school also runs standard XI and XII general stream( English Medium Only).
Though the school is primarily meant to provide Catholic girls with sound religious and moral education and Christian culture, other people are also admitted without distinction of caste or creed, with due respect to their religious feelings and freedom of conscience. A course of religious instruction is given to Catholic students. Children of other faiths are taught moral science, a course in our fundamental duties to God, Self, other persons and society.
